Student Spotlights: Celebrating Musical Journeys at Lake Norman Music School

My name is Ryan Leach, and I have lived in Denver for three years now. I am 12 years old and attend Denver Christian Academy. I play the drums at Lake Norman Music School with my instructor Michael Luce, I have been playing for two years.

Mr. David gave me a great start with drums in Mr. Gary’s real estate building now I'm learning with Michael and fortunate enough to be in Lake Norman Music School’s newest band Carolina Craze. Our first performance was at Lake Norman Brewery over the summer, and we recently were invited back for a second performance!

It's great to see new faces at Lake Norman Music School and to hear all the talented students. I also really enjoy learning new songs with Michael and

my experience at Lake Norman Music School has made me more aware of the instruments, sound, and hard work put into a song. I hope to learn several different songs in the future and continue to help my band grow and improve.

Thanks to everyone at the Lake Norman Music School for believing in me to take the step forward and to join Carolina Craze. I'm excited about the Lake Norman Music School fall recital next month and I hope to see you there!
